Editing Blog SAD! Music Video

Today is December 4th 2019.  over the past few days I've been the raw footage of the film. Since I was the only one that can actually edit in my group, it was time to go to work. It's easier for me edit on the software I'm using ( Sony Vegas Pro 15) than on what everyone else is doing. Editing something that is way too easy for me.  I can quickly import, export, cut parts of the videos I need in a flash. Since now we can add effect ( that's at least what I'm thinking), It got harder. With my creative mind I can start playing with effects and see what they can do. Time to carry the load. Time to Ice up.

The first process of editing for the music video was to cut parts of the song. Cutting parts of the song was the hardest for me because i had to get it just right. They had to sing correctly with whatever part I cut so it doesn't sound like crap. I probably spent more time on trying to edit the song then edit the video. The song itself was 2 minutes. I had to trim that to 1:15 (which was the max). After that I can actually start editing the film. The raw footage of the film was 11 minutes. Now how can I cut 11 minutes into 1 minute and 15 seconds? Really that's just nearly impossible to do.

Well I cut out unnecessary parts like walking to another scene. That cleared out room for at least half of the time. Now that I had my selected clips. I had to cut up some of those too. When I cut them off I get the most important parts of it. The beginning and the end was not important at all for me. Those scenes were just walking to start/stop filming with the camera. After that I starting rolling with effects. There's one effect called Camera Shake and it's funny to me. It makes me look like i started an earthquake with all of the shaking due to Rage!
