Alone Today, Fliming Blog

Today is Thursday, February 28th, 2020. Today was a tiring day. I did only a scene today where I had just shown my face a lot. I had no one help my film today so it was okay. As the director, I clutched this film out. I did it quickly because no one was at home. That's a good thing so that people would not walk into the camera or make noise. My mother and brother went out to go buy a tablet, so I saw my chance. I had to start recording, walk into the camera area, wait a few seconds then start acting. I've done that before with the Music Video. After doing that about like 15 times, I was done filming for the day. I have to film again on Saturday to do another scene. Filming by yourself isn't as easy as it looks. With the new tripod I got, it's harder. The tripod only has two levels ( opposed to 3 that the older one had) but was wider. A problem with this was it could take up the walkway in my house. That's around 3 feet from one of my couch to the other couch. So I had to high-step over a leg of the tripod to stop the camera from recording. I don't think that I could record another scene by myself so my friends would have to help me out. Hopefully they can come both Saturday and Sunday so we can be finished with the Project in time for Peer Editing. When they see my film they are going to be shocked. It's probably going to be the best one out of all of the films anyways. I'm just that confident.

A Successful Day, Filming Blog

Today is February 23rd ,2020. I had film the first couple of scenes for my movie. Yesterday I had texted Loubinson to come over so here would come over today and he did. Kendrick didn’t come because he didn’t know what “time management” was. I told him to come at 11 am or 1 pm because it would be the ideal time to film but he didn’t want to because he wanted to watch a stupid football game. So we had to film without Kendrick leaving us to only do about 3 scenes today. It was pretty good for me because now i’m on track. At the beginning of today, Loubinson had came too early because I didn’t even shower yet. Before we actually started filming, there was two little kids in the way. They kept looking at us funny because the camera was in distance. When the kids was out of the picture, I was ready to record...the camera man ( Loubinson ) was not. So the kids were back in the picture and now we had to wait until they were out. They stayed in the picture for about a good 5 minutes. I actually wanted to throw one of them on the roof ( as a joke ). So now after those 5 minutes they were out of the picture. Some scenes were shot twice because I looked at the camera. My dad was also home but he wasn’t too much in the film. In the 2nd scene he was technically there but I didn’t see his face or body in the film when looking back at the film. Props to Loubinson for doing that scene as clean as possible. Today was a good day in filming and i hope that i could repeat doing it later in the week. Wish me luck and i hope it doesn’t rain.

Chang of Plans, Filming Blog

Today is Wednesday February 20th, 2020. I was suppose to do this blog since Sunday ( pictured ) but I have been busy since. Friday was an early release day but I had work like 3 hours after that so I didn't try and film. My friend that was going to show up on Sunday was not in the area so he couldn't go and film quickly. Saturday was the same thing. I had work that day and I was tired from the day before so nothing was done. Sunday was supposed to be that day where I actually film but it started raining. Since the rain started around the 10 am time, my parent couldn't come over to help film at that time. It would have been the perfect time to start filming to so I don't have to do much next week. Also, being tired that day and no one here to record. I called that an off day. The rain wasn't too heavily but it was too wet outside so that was a no go. On Monday was a relax day, I had to because I was becoming stressed of school. I went to the basketball park for around an hour, came home and went to sleep. No scenes were recorded because no one showed up! That was a bust of a 4 day weekend. Bad luck mixed with poor time management was not okay at all. This week I plan to get a camera over the weekend and start filming. I gotta make sure everything goes smoothly next Sunday. I'm counting on you ( as in myself ).

Planning Blog Storyboard

Today is February 13th, 2020. I just did my storyboard today and man was it a long person. It took me about 3 hours to complete this project. I had 10 scenes in my storyboard. Each block is about 2 seconds but that cant be the same while I'm filming because of the different angles I'm going to use. The storyboard was nowhere near to what I was thinking in my head. Having to add a few more scenes within main scenes was difficult because it had to make sense. I'm tired of all of that hard work man. I'm ready to make this film into a reality. It's going to be the 2nd biggest project I'll have this year. I'll talk to you soon in a few days!

Planning Blog Titles

Today is February 10th, 2020. The Titles of the movie will be creative. I will actually get to use a program that I always wanted to use. The King Ping Tracker. It's going to be used for a lot of the titles such as the Film name, Actors and Studio name. It's going to be better than having the screen shot or the text going over the movie itself. That is not the way that the pros do it. I believe that i will already have a better film that probably the students that are doing this class. Since I'm alone as the Visual editor, I will go crazy. Take it over the top. Beat out everyone with my titles and keep them guessing and doubting me. It looks plain right now but its going to stand out once I get into the zone.

Planning Blog Schedule

Today is February 14th,  2020. The Schedule of the Film is very simple. The plan is to film the movie at my house. There's going to be a camera setup in my house to capture angles without it being hand held. The people in the film is going to be at least 2 people, for a max of 5 it was not in the script. I'm going to need to balance out the people to make the scenes match the scripts. Health in this film is important because a death is seen here. We have to execute that scene on one go because i don't think i would want to do it another day. Given that I'll want to start filming as soon as Finish the storyboard, It's possible to take this in one go. Time will have to fly by to mess this up.

Planning Blog Shooting Script

Today is February 6th, 2020. Doing the Shooting Script was a piece of cake. No help was needed at all in the film scene description. It's was just a day when everything was clicking fast to me. Ideas start popping up left and right. The Shooting Script i say was like writing the Music video. Note this, I balled out on the music video. That was too easy as well. This project has the most amount of work on it. If I can stop doing them like 10 minutes before it's due that would be great. I'm my greatest when I'm under pressure and by myself. 3 more blogs in about a week left. It's going to be a pain going forward but it's going to be worth it at the end. Mamba Out.

Planning Blog Sound Script

Today is February 6th, 2019. In my movie film ( which i haven't named yet), I'm creating a sound script for my film introduction. I'm trying to create an action film that doesn't have a lot of sounds in it. In the first two scenes there's no sound included because the Hacker is just getting into his spot. A few more scenes like this happen through the movie. Creating a movie about hacking while it has to have action and is quiet could be a challenge. Note to self that I'm doing all of this about myself as well. Call me the man after this because it'll get the job done. The third and four scenes are the scenes with the most sound in them. The rest of the scenes could be self explanatory by now. It's going to be a hard project when you have to do really everything by yourself. Self learning is always the best learning they say.
